The
Clifton Waller Barrett Library, part of the Special
Collections Department at the University of Virginia, takes as its province one hundred and seventy-five
years of American literature, the years from 1775 to
1950. Among the authors represented in the Barrett
Library is Eugene O'Neill.
The letters from O'Neill to his second wife, Agnes Boulton
O'Neill, to his son Shane, and to Harold de Polo are
intimate and revealing. There is also a typescript of an
early unpublished O'Neill short story. |
