The Art of Eugene O'Neill

Shipley, Joseph T.
Seattle: University of Washington Book Store, 1928
First edition, wrappers, with dust jacket

This 34 page pamphlet is the second small book (Clark's Eugene O'Neill was the first) devoted exclusively to O'Neill.  Shipley finds that O'Neill's theme of life as a vale of tears is too restrictive.  The booklet's value is limited by Shipley's emphasis on O'Neill's lack of humor.Miller
